How to play battlefield 2 on windows vista

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Faizel Ibrahim. Whenever I start Battlefield 2 on my laptop, the screen goes black and crashes back to desktop doesn't even reach the point where it says 'EA Games'. Please help me to fix and play, just to get the offline part working. I'm not bothered about going online. I reset the screen resolution in the Video. In the early part of the game, it is ridiculously easy where the AI will basically just stand there and let you shoot them.

Later levels though are really, really hard, almost to the point where they are unfair! When Battlefield 2: Modern Combat was first released this was one of the big online games for the consoles of the day. As a result, there is absolutely no split-screen co-op which is a shame as the servers for this are long dead! Still, multiplayer is perhaps the best aspect of this game as it is so much fun and pure balls to the wall action.

Conquest and Capture the Flag are two really fun modes and they are super addictive. You can play on one of two sides of this war and the matches are really fast-paced. The matches are for up to 24 players which at the time was very impressive. In all the multiplayer is a huge reason as to why so many people liked this game back in the day. I really think that they went above and beyond to make this a game that was as fun as possible. However, going back and playing this now is a little bit tough as the controls are not the norm when it comes to a first-person shooter.

Things like using B to reload and one of the shoulder buttons to jump make it a rather awkward game to go back and play. I think that Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is a very interesting game in the Battlefield franchise. I would bet that this is a game that many people are not even aware exists! It is a well-made game and while it may be a bit dated in some places, it is still pretty cool to fire up and check out.

I'm not entirely certain if I've become jaded. Like most gamers, after years of playing the latest and greatest titles, I've built up some expectations on the sort of feel and groove I'd like to get from most games. Sometimes this means I'm a really good judge of character, but sometimes it means I'm just a cynical old man who doesn't like anything different.

One of the latest Xbox titles, and many months behind the PS2 and Xbox releases of this title, Battlefield presents a frenetic, rushed, and strangely chaotic environment, without any of the outstanding gameplay that should accompany it. To begin with, we've got a stock standard shooter, different from the norm in really only two ways.

Posted 10 February - PM. This is a how-to on XP, I'll look on my laptop again later Posted 26 February - PM. Here is another question, related to BF2 but unrelated to punkbuster. I just dlowed the Armored Fury and the other expansion pack verson of BF2 from digital locker.

Now when i go into Digital locker and try to play it How can i combat this so i can play the 2 expansion packs? Not this error again happens soo much. You have to change the priveledges of your user so that punkbuster can browse your files or something. I had this error with Windows XP and you had to change some user security settings. Try making you the owner of the computer so that you can edit, delete, move system files and stuff.

This should work I really hope they dont release another patch as it will be another mb download it annoyes me soo much it takes 2 hours to actually play the game online with decent servers. Heres a quote from a website who were testing Vista in the beta stages but it should be the same.

But one significant gotcha crept up several times in our testing: PunkBuster. Posted 24 January - PM. Edited by silaoua, 24 January - PM. Holkeye Member Member 37 posts.
