The glove is so versatile with many ways to get in to the action. As a precursor to later game systems such as the Nintendo Wii, the power glove is unique in that it uses a sensor gesture based system to control movements of the glove. There are so many fun ways to get the most out of this gaming device. The controls on the glove chassis look complex, but as you get a feel of how the device works, your motions through a gaming experience will become second nature.

Locate the sensors around your television console pointing towards the viewer of the screen. These sensors will coincide with the motion of the glove and provide a virtual experience that is happening on the screen. No other NES controller or controller in general has the versatility that this powerglove have. Many games were designed make use of the Power Glove. Pacman were able to put this video game controller in motion.

With each gesture, the player is able to see their motion on the screen and imagine if they are actually in the action. This sets in motion all the possibilities that are to come.

These innovations made it fun to be alive and play video games that provide you with wonder and excitement. The NES power glove plugs directly into the game console controller slot. There are two ultrasonic speakers transmitters in the glove and three ultrasonic microphones receivers around the TV monitor. The ultrasonic speakers take turns transmitting a short burst a few pulses of 40 kHz sound and the system measures the time it takes for the sound to reach the microphones.

A triangulation calculation is performed to determine the X, Y and Z location of each of the two speakers, which specifies the yaw and roll of the hand. The only dimension it cannot calculate is the pitch of the hand, since the hand can pitch without moving the location of the two ultrasonic speakers. Both games were playable with the standard NES controller, but included moves that can only be used with the glove.

These two games are branded as part of the "Power Glove Gaming Series". Super Glove Ball was American only and never released in Japan. Since no Power Glove-specific games were ever retailed in Japan, the Power Glove was sold as an alternative controller only. This decision greatly effected sales and eventually caused PAX to declare bankruptcy. In the US, the Power Glove sold approximately , units.

Games specifically made for the Power Glove were commercial failures. The Power Glove was in various media during in its time.
