Sarah blasko the overture the underscore zip

It feels a little more desperate but in a good way. The song is pretty good, in my opinion it is not the best but the song is fairly consistant and it keeps a fairly easy pace through out.

The drums and guitar compliment her voice rather nicely in this song and it feels almost a little more depressing than a lot of her music that is not to say that the song is depressing. As I said earlier it is a little more fragile and I do quite like the way the song sounds, espically in the chorus it sounds a little more heart felt in some ways. Towards the end the song reintroduces the distorted guitar which is a suitable accompanyment to her voice.

I quite like the distorted guitar riff that runs through the song but the chorus sounds a little off and I can't put my finger on it. It feels almost jagged but that's because I am being anal retentive and if you were listening to it normally without analyzing through it it sounds fine. The song's chorus sounds fantastic in my opinion it's very melodic. Towards the end the song plays on without Sarah which highlights a string instrument.

Then the song finalizes with Sarah singing the chorus. I absolutely loved the chorus but I could not help but feel as if the running beat through out the song felt a little cheesy.

Otherwise this song is great. As the song begins Sarah's voice is nothing less the stellar like usual but her voice sounds much calmer than most of the other songs where it feels more passionate though this is not a downfall at all. This song like the others is good. Though I find that I can't find myself enjoying it as much as I did the other songs. The beginning half of the song follows her more ambience styled background complimenting her voice quite nicely.

The second half is Sarah with an acoustic guitar ending the song with one final exhale. I absoultely love the start and end of the song. This would have to be my favourite track on the whole album it feels so calming and I feel like it is an appropriate end to a fantastic album.

As I suggested earlier I usually do not like this kind of music but I felt almost mezmerized by Sarah's voice. This is my first review and if you guys find there to be any errors be sure to tell me. I found that I was a little more lenient on my scoring as I really have no other singer of this genre to compare it to as I stated numerous times I am not a fan of this style of music.
