Having this unterminated allows the customer to pin the adapter in the way that they need for their application. I am trying to use it for the serial port on the back of computer. We do have the color code of that adapter which you can find under the Spec tab. The pinout required would depend on the serial device that you are connecting. We would recommend contacting the serial device manufacturer for the proper pinout.
